Boise company sees a market for recycled glass

Chris Nelson, owner of the abrasive environment in Boise, has designs on your beer bottles, carafes of wine and glasses of jelly.

Nelson thinks they may be alternatives to grist for the classic ingredients of sandblasting, used to remove the metal corrosion and for other purposes.

10 years the company has attracted attention last month when Biete Boise Mayor Dave announced that the city is to go ahead with a program of recycling of glass on the sidewalk, in part because of anticipated environmental Abrasives take the glass.

Nelson, who is also co-owner of Table Rock Brew Pub, Boise and officials are in final negotiations for a three-year contract. Abrasive environment would have a glass collected on several sites of the city from a program of selective collection of the city plans to begin this fall.
