4th of July holiday is here. It means the beginning of the summer, no school, swimming, picnicking. Unfortunately it is also the time of year that most injuries occur with children because of fireworks.
As a doctor in the emergency room some of the most tragic injuries that I saw the children involved handling of fireworks.
Let's be clear: Children should never handle fireworks. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, each year there are about 10,000 injuries that occur at the national level from the fireworks. Most of those involved are children under 14.
I also purchase dry eye drops over the counter in the pharmacy that help me a lot. But since you are so young it would be so wise to see an ophthalmologist to test your eyes and get a better diagnose so you can feel much better. I need eye drops, my eyes are super dry right now!.
I have suffered with dry eyes syndrome since I am a teenager - I have seen eye doctors, I have used all kinds of eye drops for dry eyes - nothing has help me. Its becoming very difficult to deal with it.
Thanks for your help.
Some things to try for dry eye:
1. conciously blink at least every 5 seconds and every few blinks pause for a second or two with your eyes closed to moisten the part of the eye exposed to the air.
2. try the new Eyemist™ by Nature's Tears® which is available at most major drug stores, or order on line at http://www.naturestears.
So today, i left my friend's house with no contact solutions which i was suppose to get but forgot. And now she's not home & my contacts are drying up and i don't know what to do. Is it okay to put it in eye drops for at least a day ? If this doesn't work is there any other
its gonna buuuuuurn when you put em back in. if they're disposables you're better off just tossing em & starting on the next pair.
