As a doctor in the emergency room some of the most tragic injuries that I saw the children involved handling of fireworks.

Let's be clear: Children should never handle fireworks. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, each year there are about 10,000 injuries that occur at the national level from the fireworks. Most of those involved are children under 14.
